For students who are planning on starting school after March 5, 2008 you will need your completed 2007 Federal income tax returns and if applicable your spouses 2007 Federal income tax returns---- if you were born before January 1, 1985, do not have any children and are not married you will also need your parents completed 2007 Federal income tax returns.

After you have gathered all the information listed above you need to fill out the 2008-2009 Free Application for Student Aid (FASA) if you are planning to start school after March 5, 2008. The form is included in your student information package.

Please fill out all the loan applications- completely DO NOT leave any spaces blank. Your information package should contain the following loan applications: Sallie Mae Career Training Loan, Federal Plus application/note for a student’s parent to complete, and a Master Promissory application/note for students to complete. Again please fill out all the applications completely.

Upon completion of all paperwork please call the financial aid office at (704) 334-2884 to schedule an appointment. All paperwork needs to be completed and all fees need to be paid two (2) weeks prior to the date you wish to start classes.

Please note: You must be able to document your children by- 1) a certified copy of the child’s birth certificate (not the mothers copy) and 2) you being listed on the child’s birth certificate as the mother or father.
